Even more behind...
I seem to get even more behind on these updates, and there's lots to pass along.....
Working backwards...

Tonight was Trick-or-Treat night in town. The puppies took shifts helping out. Don't they look cute in there Halloween bandanas? As usual, Benson barked constantly, except for perhaps the fraction of a second it took to snap this only picture I could manage to get of him without his mouth going or spit flying. I think Duncan enjoyed himself, and he behaved really well. We got a fair turnout, plenty left for us even though the doc's scale tells me I don't need anymore. (More puppy pix HERE, mostly of how big Duncan is getting.)
Speaking of doc... I think the whole 2 of you that keep up with this blog already know that Terri was in the hospital this week. She had another heart attack on Sunday, caused by a blood clot where they put the stents last year when she had the first heart attack. She wasn't taking her medicine, they say that is what lead to the blood clot.
The same night Terri ended up in the hospital, I got bit by a tick. So while we waited to hear what was going in with her, we had the tick thing to deal with. I wasn't so much worried about myself as worried about the puppies. It ended up begin quite a night, as they are a little behind on their flea and tick drops and we had none in the house. So we ended up putting some grocery store variety on, then ended up reading really bad stuff about it poisoning dogs. So, then we tried washing it back off. We spent the rest of the night with plenty of showering, washing, vacuuming and brushing and searching through hair, and any other thing we could think of in case my little friend brought along any other friends. The next day we called the doc and the vet to be certain we covered all our bases. I think we're good. Except for what that scale said. YIKES!
Let's see, what else... Dave and I both took a couple days off last week. We spent one day traveling up north to see the elk. The day started out a bust, and we both were kind of disappointed in the trip, until about the time we were ready to head home. Then the elk finally came out. We did get to see quite a few, and a couple up really close. Too bad we were so cold and tired by then, it would have been more enjoyable. If you ever decide to go see the elk, wait until later in the day and shoot to be there a couple hours before dark to catch them out. Other than that one trip, we went out for breakfast a couple mornings and then we went to one of the local caverns for their haunted cave tour (it was kind of lame), and we did some geocaching a little each day. The geocaching is what lead to the tick bite. We had been to a couple of the city rec parks on Sunday and the little critter hitched a ride. We were in town. So, if you have a pet and are in town, do not think you are safe from ticks even in October. Be sure to keep up on their flea and tick treatments. And get bug spray for yourself. With DEET. (Note to self: Get bug spray. With DEET.)
We did Richie's shoot for his senior pictures a couple weeks ago, I'll get them posted soon so you can check them out. It was a chilly windy day, be we got some keepers.
Well, Duncan has decided he has been good long enough so I'm gonna get going.
Hope you are all well!!!
