Happy Birthday...

to Erik Estrada, Jerry Lewis, Chuck Woolery, Flavor Flav... and ME! What a combination huh?

I had a nice birthday. Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes. I got cards, texts, emails, phone calls and posts all over. I feel loved :-)

Mom came down Sunday and the four of us went to Outback. YUM! We got new computers at work on Friday, so yesterday was all about learning the ins and outs on my new work toy and software and trying to be productive at the same time (not extremely successful with that) - it was the makings of a LOOOOOOOOONG day. After work, Dave and I went to Chili's, then his dad came over for a bit. I got to open a few gifts then we had apple dumplings for dessert, watched wrestling and just played with the puppies the rest of the night. I got some cool gadgets to go along with my iPod and other gizmos, and great smelling Bean Pod candle, a gift card for ice cream - more YUM! And CASH! On the way home I stopped to get a Cash 5, Dave said it was half a million. Half a million on my birthday would be cool... I grabbed a daily number too on a whim. Didn't win the Cash 5 unfortunately, but made 40 bucks on the daily number WOO HOO! Can't complain I guess.

And today, is back to just another day. Well another long day, but with lots 'o Green. You did wear green today, right?

Well, I think it is time to go try out the new candle... thanks everyone for your birthday wishes!!

A month between posts...

yeah, way too long to keep you up on things. (You know, the whole 2 of you that keep up with the going's on around here - LOL).

Let's see... not really much going on though so.... The weather was kinda nice over the weekend, so we started cleaning up a bit in the yard/garden. And we put in some solar LED lighting around the flower beds. But it's been so rainy and dreary since then, I don't think the batteries have had enough time to get a good charge. They look like they are going to work well when they do get enough light, so we will have to grab another box. We picked them up at an area outlet store. I may get a lady bug too to stick among the roses. It was cute.

Melani Lynn's shower will be coming up next month, so I have been working up the plan for the cake. As of now, it will be a combination of a tiered cake and cupcakes. Though that could change. HERE are some of the other cakes that mom and I have done in the past. I need to update that too, don't have Mani's shower cupcakes on there from... how long ago?!?! And mom and I are still searching for a missing photo album that has a bunch of others that need added. I am a slacker...

And I got a few pictures of a part for the Bug (fingers crossed it is the part, and not the fuel pump - I'd been hoping I just knocked a wire loose changing the fuel lines, but so far, haven't found one). I'm gonna start disconnecting and reconnecting everything in hopes that something is loose that doesn't look loose. Hopefully I'll get it running this year. Haven't had it out for a few summers. I need a back seat ashtray too. Anyone know where I can find a black rear ashtray for a '75 Beetle Convertible?

I'm selling my iPod Nano if anyone is interested. I got an iPod Touch after Christmas and as partial justification to spending that kinda money, I planned to sell the iPod to help fund part of it. So if you know anyone interested in a well cared for iPod, let me know.
