Let's see...
Since the last time I blogged....
Terri was in the hospital again. She was having some problems that seemed to be related to the blood pressure medicine they put her on. She was in for a few days, home now.
I did a Luau cake for a co-worker's daughters 16th Birthday this Saturday. I didn't like it. The design was good, but the fondant turned out terrible. I tried making my own, and didn't test it out beforehand and it ended up too dry, and caused me all kinds of problems. Here are some pictures of it, just don't look at it too close...

While making the fondant, I burned up the stand mixer, so I am seriously considering getting one of the fancy schmancy KitchenAid mixers. Anyone have one? What do you like about your model? Not like?
We went to a Pirates' game last weekend and got rear-ended on the parkway way home. We were both a bit sore the next day, but no one was hurt, kinked up the Tracker a bit. Surprisingly, everything went very smoothly with the whole estimate/insurance process, and we already have the check to get it fixed. Just have to wait for a few parts to come in and make the official appointment at the repair shop.
We're starting to get some ripe cherry tomatoes!! And looks like a strawberry ready to be picked on the plant we put in a hanging basket on the porch. I think I will make a little strawberry patch next year. Still not sure what is going on with the cucumbers this year. I killed one of the plants I had in trying to move it to grow in a different direction, and the replacement doesn't seem to be doing anything. The lemon cucumber seems to be doing ok, even has a flower on it. Lots of peppers and tomatoes, just nothing ready to pick yet.
That's about it.
