I'm still alive

I lived through the tetanus shot. That following Sunday Dave's dad wanted to go to a wine and food festival we went to a couple summers ago, not sure where the food was, but lots of wine. The only new one I really liked was sold out by the time we went back for it. I should know by now that if I actually find wine I like, I should just get it then, I don't like much of it, so I should just get it. Good thing is, the winery is near where the pipe shop is that we go to, so we'll just have to swing by next trip. We had a nice time that day, at least for the most part. It was hot that day, and we had one heat related incident, but we got to a fan and cooled off. We ran into Mark and Carol, friends of mine from wayyyyyyyy back. It was sooooo cool seeing them!! And for once, I saw someone that I knew on a trip away from home. Usually it is Dave, so it was a special trip :-)

Don't think I bored you with the lates pictures of the boys, check em out here:

After I got the Tracker back from our bumper bender, it konked out at Sheetz one morning. It wouldn't start when I came out on the way to work one morning. Starter went on it. Funny part is, it was the SAME Sheetz, and the SAME parking spot that it konked out in the last time. At least it konks out close to home. Dave fixed it up, all better now. :-) :X:X:X:X:X Thanks Baby!!

Emailed Terri back and forth a bit today. Doc now says she has diabetes. Sheesh.

It's still too hot to have the oven on, so I put up a blanket in the doorway to at least keep the heat out there and the AC in the living room, but I have gotten to use the mixer a couple times. I made icing earlier this week, and cupcakes and pupcakes tonight. I am thinking maybe I would have liked the tilt head one a little better, but it is soooooo nice mixing with it. Just turn it on and done! Nice!!

Picked a big bowl full of cherry tomatoes while the pupcakes were cooking. The tomatoes are finally starting to get red, or their other intended colors. We've been lucky so far that they are doing well. Though they are starting to look like the plants about done.

I think that catches me up.

Ouch

I got a tetanus shot Monday, and my arm hurts. :-(

It is starting to feel better than it did, but now it is starting to get red. If it's not better tomorrow, I'll check with the doctor and make sure I'll live. :-)

I don't remember the last one I had hurting this bad, but it was when I sliced my finger open with a cat food can and I had to get stitches. Maybe my finger just hurt worse than the shot.

What's with the grocery stores?

They have those cool little 2 tier carts to zip though the store with, but hide them waaaaayyyyy back in the corner. (Then there are those monster carts that look like trucks for the kids - we won't go there.)

And... they have ALL THOSE CHECKOUTS, and two are actually open. So, you try to use the self-checkouts, only to find half are out of order. And the line stretches to aisle 10.

And....

Tracker is all fixed, looks better than before!! Glad it wasn't as bad as Richard's. He wrecked his in the rain last week, it's totaled from what I was told.

Saw 3 of my 4 nephews yesterday, PICTURES HERE!!
That's about it.

More Power!

Well, we did it. We ventured out in the heat today, and came home with a brand spanking new KitchenAid stand mixer.

I found a cobalt blue tilt head one on the internet for $30 less than anyone else has it (and FREE shipping!). I have always wanted to get a blue one. Before actually ordering it, we went running around town to see what everyone had in stock. Ended up at Sam's Club, where they had a bigger professional bowl lift model with a considerably larger motor, for only a little more than I had been planning on paying for the blue one. I'll think of blue mixer I'll never have, but 325 watts, or 475 watts.... eh, I couldn't pass it up. Never know when the power may come in handy. So, black it is. Those were our color choices: black, black and black. In the end, $52 rebate coming back, and money from that cake a couple weeks ago, it was a good deal.

KitchenAid

The deal breaker would have been if it wouldn't take the ice cream attachment. We found some free wifi in the area to check to be sure it did :-). Someday, I expect to add that to my KitchenAid stash. :-)

And it is too stinking hot to make anything, well anything that goes in the oven, and we don't even have any milk to make pudding. LOL... so I guess we won't get to try it out until tomorrow, cause, I ain't going back out there to go to the store.

Now, were to stick it? It's so big!
