The Great Train Adventure

Horse
An area community website sent an email earlier in the week for some activities for this weekend. One of them was for a train ride for today. I thought a train ride sounded nice, with the leaves changing I thought it would be fun. So, I started trying to find a bit more information on it. We got tickets on Thursday evening, and even the people that were selling them didn't have a lot of information. Basically, it was dinner theatre on a train, and without dinner. LOL.

A couple were to be married on the train, but the bride didn't want any part of it, so she made plans with an outlaw gang to kidnap her from the train. It was alright, but we'd have probably gotten a more enjoyable day just putting gas in the car and wandering around checking out the foliage. The route the train took was perhaps 4 miles one way and mostly in the woods, and except for the little intro to the plot of the story before getting on the train, it was a bit hard to keep track of what was going on. The actors went from car to car through the train. And once the horses showed up, we really never saw or heard anything on the trip back. Seemed like an interesting enough idea. I think it just needed a bit more planning from a spectator's perspective.

Oh, yeah, there are PICTURES :-)
