Keeping up with the Laws...

I thought they were calling for rain today?

Well, I'm glad it stayed away, it can rain tomorrow...

Since the rain stayed away, we took advantage and got out of the house for a few hours. I couldn't find anything to do, so we just did a few geocaches (hi-tech hide and seek). Including the 5 we found today, we have a total of 91 finds!! Doesn't seem like we've found that many.

The only one really worth noting was the one we found at Canoe Creek State Park. While we have been here many times, and fish here regularly, we went today with the purpose of finding the cache that was placed near the Limestone Kilns. It gave me a workout though, the cache was up the trail on the side of the hill. I am SO out of shape. I was huffing and puffing halfway up. Dave says it's because of my 'desk job', and well, he's probably right. We really need to get out and walk again!! The trip also gave me my first 'outing' with the new lens. In case you've never seen these particular kilns - allow me....

Canoe Creek Limestone Kilns

These are the remnants of the Blair Limestone Company quarry and limekilns at Canoe Creek State Park, an area rich in limestone. The limestone was used in, among other things, the iron and steel industries of Pennsylvania.

We'll be back here in a couple weeks to get in some fishing.
