Let's see what you've all been missing...
Almost two months between posts, I really need to get better at this...
The garden and flowers are doing good. I've taken roses to work to put on my desk a few times. And picked the first batch of cucumbers this week, which really should have been picked off last week. I just didn't see them. They were kind of buried under everything and blended in, so just glancing that way as I walked past didn't help. I have 3 big green ones and 4 or 5 of the Lemon Cucumbers. The peppers are doing great, and the cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen, we ate a few when we got home today. The lettuce on the other hand, not doing well. First it wasn't growing, so Dave moved the containers, now the rabbits are eating it!
We've made it to a few car shows and Curve games this summer. Crabby made it to one of the games one afternoon, so I took part of the day off to go hang out with her. It was fun. I don't think we really saw much of the game though. Even got to see her name on the scoreboard! We snuck in a Pirates game as well.
And on a Pittsburgh related note... Dave and I will be taking his Dad to Pittsburgh this week. He is scheduled for back surgery. Well, at least that is what we THINK. I am really starting to wonder about that doctor's office. The day we were at the consult I had been playing with the iPod and Googled the doctor. There seemed to be a lot of positive stuff about him, but people really had issues with the office staff. Dave just got off the phone with his dad. Seems there are some tests he has to have again. Kind of sounds like the preparation for the tests wasn't conveyed right, and they need to redo some of them. UGH. Hope they get them all back before we go!
We've been getting some windows changed this year. Had a few more changed a few weeks ago. They look great.
Connor Bear turned 2 on the 26th of last month. Mani did a great job with his cake! I haven't even gotten pictures posted! I really am being lazy these days....
The three of us went to the stadium on the 4th. They had a block party and fireworks after. Nothing too exciting, but it was nice.
Terri and Richard organized a Poker Run for Howard on the 10th. I hung out for a while and managed to lose the bikes. I was taking pictures and I guess I wasn't fast enough getting to the car. By the time I got up the road, they were gone. And no one told me what roads they were taking. Kinda bummed I missed the rest, but it was fun while I was there.
Terri ended up in the hospital again for a couple days after that. She's recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea on top of all the other problems she's been having and they think adjusting to the CPAP machine was stressing her, in addition to everything else stressing her and caused the chest pains that had her visit the ER. Now her crazy pup is stressing her.
Today we braved the heat later in the day and headed to State College for a car show. And now we're all crashed in the living room with the AC on. Not sure what we'll do tomorrow. Maybe our goal will just be to stay cool.
